Course Number: 779
This course explains how elements in a closed-loop system affect final control element and describes components in a final control subsystem. It discusses the operation of solenoids, motors, relay systems, and PLCs. It explains how pneumatic actuators and positioners work and describes mechanical advantage in several hydraulic control systems. It compares construction, characteristics, and applications of eight kinds of control valves. Finally, it traces the operation of each element in typical feedwater, turbine, and robotic control systems.

I want to say thank you for putting us on your website. Pretty cool. Y'all have been so wonderful to work with over the years. The custom text books are a great way to get what I want for my students and the off-the-shelf books are also very thorough for my subject matter here at SCC. I appreciate the service and the attention to detail that Schoolcraft provides for my students.
